Empowering Youth To Lead A Healthy Life is a Native youth health conference. The conference ran from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. and was held at the Goodwill office space on N. 72nd St in Omaha. Presentation topics included teen pregnancy, STD/STI education, substance abuse, mental health & coping skills, Living A Culturally Healthy Lifestyle and the Importance of Ceremonies as an Indigenous Person. Keynote speakers were Capt. Dave Ellison with HRSA in Kansas City, Missouri, Echohawk Lefthand with the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs and Earl Bullhead with the Native American Advocacy Program in South Dakota.
