2015 was the second year for the Good Life In My Moccasins. The theme and goal of this year’s event was to increase access to services by providing a safe and trusted space in the Native American community. 2015’s Good Life In My Moccasins had a committee of 9 members; NUIHC, Indian Center, ENCAP, United Healthcare Community Plan, OPS N.I.C.E. program, Livewise, MOTAC, DHHS Women’s Health Initiatives, and Noah’s Clinic. 25 vendors, 200 plus community members and numerous volunteers were attendance. Attendees enjoyed a potluck meal, learning about services available to them in the Omaha community, cotton candy, popcorn, games, and raffles.
