“Hoops 4 Life” basketball tournament is an opportunity to bring the community and youth together to create awareness and support for suicide and substance abuse prevention.
Hoops 4 Life came about as an innovative way in which to bring Native youth together for a fun-filled day of competitive basketball. After the second year, the event was opened to all youth native and non-native. The event is open to the public.
2016 was the 7th year for the Hoops 4 Life 3 on 3 basketball tournament. This tournament is for youth, for ages 8 to 19 years old. There is open team registration just for 30 minutes the morning of the tournament from 8 to 8:30 a.m.
The day before the basketball tournament, we have a youth conference. You can read about Empowerment 4 Life: Native Youth Conference here.
