“Hoops 4 Life” basketball tournament is an opportunity to bring the community and youth together to create awareness and support for suicide and substance abuse prevention. In the past, the tournament has always been held on the first Saturday of November at Turning Point Campus, running from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m, with a half time show at noon. Hoops 4 Life came about as an innovative way in which to bring Native youth together for a fun-filled day of competitive basketball. After the second year, the event was opened to all youth native and non-native, and we also added an adult component for fundraising. The event is open to the public.
2016 will be the 7th year for the Hoops 4 Life 3 on 3 basketball tournament.
